Homeschool Fossil Dig
Date – Time
July 16, 2024
– 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Additional Information
Tree of life is hosting a day of fossil digging!
We will be in a slow, keeping cool and connecting with our inner paleontologist! We have never been disappointed and always found shark teeth and other fossils, so it should be a great experience for the kids! We will meet at Big Brook Park in Marlboro. At 12pm. The exact address will be given the day before the event. Once maximum is reached, we will close registration.
We will make our way to the stream at 12pm so please be there by 11:45am. There is no real marker or sign for the location so give yourself time. It is a walk, so please wear a pair of water shoes or sandals you don’t mind getting wet and muddy!
What to bring: a camping chair you can carry or something to sit on, bug spray, small shovel, something to sift with, sand toys, a bucket, towel, change of clothes, lunch or snacks and plenty of water!
Please keep in mind we are in the woods and will be walking through the stream a bit to get to our location. It is narrow and not a lot of room for blankets. The stream is usually calm and not high, BUT this does depend on whether or not it rained recently. The stream is under PLENTY of shade. We can’t wait to find fossils and have fun!
PLEASE NOTE: A reminder email with all the details of the event will be sent out the day before.
